Tooth Fairy Friend

Recently, a beloved young relative lost their very FIRST tooth! We had to celebrate, and so I stitched together a little tooth pillow for the tooth fairy's visit. I sketched an incredibly detailed technical specification illustration, shown below.

A crudely hand-drawn tooth with fairy wings and a crown, shown first in an anterior orientation, and the second showing the posterior orientation. The object has a small pocket on the back for teeth, along with a cord to hang it from a doorknob.
Aforementioned tech spec.

From this inspiration, I began with a magic circle and used single crochets and half-double crochets to create the tooth shape. When I was halfway through the crown of the tooth, I stopped to add eyes and a few rows later, a mouth. I added two wings and a crown.

In progress and completed!

Lastly, I stitched the roots and added a small d ring to the back. I made a small braided cord to connect to the d ring with a keychain hook, allowing the user to hang their tooth from their doorknob instead of stuffing under the pillow and hoping the tooth fairy finds it.

This worked up in a day but was a lot of short-lived fun!

Confidential to A: Congratulations again and don't forget to keep brushing! The tooth fairy likes them shiny. :)
